2025-02 NCARC Meeting Minutes

North Country Amateur Radio Club

The February 13, 2025 meeting was called to order at 18:10 pm.

Minutes of previous meeting were read. Motion to accept, maker N4TW, second NR2V. Passed.

Treasurer's report was read and shows a balance of $447.00.

Old Business

  • The MRSE for March 11 will take place without the participation of amateur radio. Hopefully this will not be a recurring situation in future years.

Events and Nets

  • March 8 – Kids Expo at SUNY Canton.
  • March 22 – VE session, Potsdam Town Hall, Community Room, 09:00.
  • March 27 – Sky Warn training, SUNY Potsdam, Kellas 106, 18:00
  • June 28-29 – Field Day is tentatively planned for Madrid Park.

New Business

  • Short discussion on starting a Discord group. WX2CIB to create it and let us know.
  • KA2AUB will coordinate the Kids Expo. Motion that the club pay the entrance fee, maker NR2V, second N4TW. Passed.
  • K2CC The Clarkson radio club is planning to have a fox hunt is the Spring. It will be mobile in the greater Potsdam area. The weather balloon project continues to be a work in progress. There is a possibility of a new repeater antenna on top of the science building.

Motion to Adjourn, maker N2ULT, second N4TW. Meeting adjourned at 19:41.
