2025-09 NCARC Meeting Minutes

The 9/11/2025 meeting of the North Country Amateur Radio Club meeting was called to order by WX2CIB at ___.

The meeting was held at the Potsdam Community Room. There were _____ people in attendance.

Minutes from the previous 8/14/2025 meeting were read. Motion to accept as read/amended was made by NR2V. Seconded by KE2EMQ

Treasurer's Report: As of 09/11/25, we have $549 after membership dues and patch sales

Old Business:

  • Logo designs - Working on it
  • Activate the ADK – 12-14 Sept 2025 Slideshow from Matt
  • Club banner - Working on it
  • Web landing - We have the domain name, ncarc.us. At this point, we do not have anything published. We need to plan to add elements like links and events.
  • SUNY Canton First Responder Expo - RJ reported that it went well and may move to September.
  • Projects - Working on getting more info on Meshtastic. Mike suggested that any node should be not marked for licensed hams.
  • Club Trustee - A discussion was held about the transfer. Mike (FCP) volunteered to take it over. New Business:
  • Holiday Party - Virginia volunteered to head it up. A discussion will be held about the location. It was held at The Lobster House last year. Virginia will check with The Lobster House for December 6 or 13.
  • Breakfast Eyeball Meeting - Virginia will check with SUNY Canton again.
  • K2CC Report - Representative stated they are just getting started for the season.
  • Hams Over IP - Mike FCP suggested one of the officers should set up a conference bridge for meetings and other events. Dave will take charge of it. Presentation:
  • Bob Farrington KD2QLH, SLCRACES Radio Officer – Simplex Communications
  • 3rd Tuesday of the month, starts about 1810 on 146.520, if busy will QSY to 146.565.
  • Matt Denney - Activate The Adirondacks

Upcoming Events

  • NNY Digital Net - 2nd Monday of the month at 1900L, starts +/- 7.065MHz Q-Net - Every night at 1830L
  • St. Lawrence County Emergency Net - 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month @ 1800L. Simplex Net afterward on the 3rd Tuesday
  • Jamboree On The Air - October 17-19, 2025
  • VE Session - October 25, 2025
