The 10/9/2025 meeting of the North Country Amateur Radio Club meeting was called to order by WX2CIB at 18:06L. The meeting was held at the Potsdam Community Room. There were 12 people in attendance.

Minutes from the previous 9/11/2025 meeting were read.

Motion to accept as read/amended was made by NR2V. Seconded by KE2EMQ.

Treasurers Report: As of $

Old Business:

  • Logo designs - Still working on it.
  • Activate the ADK – 12-14 Sept 2025 - KE2GKE & KD2QLH gave a report. KD2QLH also gave a report on the Erie Canal event.
  • Club banner
  • Web landing - NO8O looking for more ideas.
  • Ham Operators Brunch – 8 Nov 1030 - 1200
    • Chaney Dining Center, The Golden Room, SUNY Canton
    • More details to follow. Menu will be posted in Facebook Group & Discord
  • Head count
  • NCARC Holiday Dinner – 6 Dec 1700 – til
    • Lobster House – 95 S. Main St., Norwood
    • 1700 – Cocktail/social hour
    • 1730 – Order
    • Everyone is responsible for their own tab. Head count for reservation

New Business

  • Nominations Of Election of Officer - All officers will stay in office if it is determined.
  • Ham of the Year - KA2AUB suggested a Ham of the Year award. Notify club officers for nominations.
  • Club Rally Frequency - N4TW suggested we start one. The club agreed on 146.490, simplex.
  • KD2QLH notified the club the WinLink node is up at his house near Potsdam. He would like people to try and use it. He also suggested more people set up more WinLink servers. KA2AUB suggested https://www.digipi.org for this and other digital modes.

Presentation:

Motion was made to adjourn the meeting by N4TW and seconded by KE2AXE. Motion passed. The meeting adjourned at 18:49L.
