The 01/07/2025 meeting of the North Country Amateur Radio Club meeting was called to order by WX2CIB at 18:32L after discussions and social period. The meeting was held at the Potsdam Community Room.

There were 20, with 3 on Discord, people in attendance.

Minutes from the previous November meeting were read due to the December meeting canceled due to weather.. A motion to accept as read/amended was made by KE2FKZ. Seconded by NO8O.

Treasurers Report: As of 01/07/2026, we have $560.

Election Of Officers

  • Nominations are Dave Pechey - President, Matt - VP, Bob - Secretary, Virginia NR2V
  • Closed by N4TW, KD2DXK Seconded. AC2RH moved the secretary to cast one ballot to approve the nominations.
  • Current officers remain in office.

Old Business

  • Logo designs - In Process
  • Club banner - In Process
  • Ham Operators Brunch – Enjoyed by all. Suggestion for the next one should be lunch.
  • NCARC Holiday Dinner – 6 Dec 1700 – til
    • Lobster House – 95 S. Main St., Norwood
    • Around 22 attended
    • Dinner will be there next year.
  • ARRL Year of the Club - Portable operation of W1AW. NY is the first week of January. It involves all modes, all bands.There will be another week later in the year. Possibly August? Please see an officer or W2FCP if you would like to use the NCARC callsign.

New Business

  • There is now a TGIF DMR talkgroup for NCARC created by W2FCP
  • Virginia asked about the Ham Brunch changing to a lunch instead. Location was discussed. Mike and Virginia will research.
  • The club wanted to thank those hams that contributed food for tonight’s meeting.
  • SLC RACES/ARES is looking for alternate net control operators.

  • NNY Section 60m SET - January 31, 2026 @ 10 AM
