The 12 March 2026 meeting of the North Country Amateur Radio Club meeting was called to order by WX2CIB at 18:31L. The meeting was held at the Potsdam Community Room. There were 12 physically in attendance and 2 on Discord.

Minutes from the previous February meeting were read. Motion to accept as read/amended was made by NR2V. Seconded by KE2EMQ. Approved

Treasurers Report: According to NR2V, the current balance is $656

Old Business

Logo designs Motion by KE2EMQ, Second by N2ULT to accept the AI designs by KA2AUB. KA2AUB will research prices for banner and shirts.

    • Co-Chair – Larry KE2FKZ
    • Location - SUNY Canton, NR2V will confirm with the college
    • WB2BAU - CW
    • Suggest an operating schedule
    • Equipment List will go out to all
    • Food will be pot luck, W2FCP will bring his Blackstone & grill.
    • If SUNY Canton, we can see the marquis.
    • W2FCP will go to Farmer’s Markets to advertise
    • KA2AUB will research Community Connections
    • KA2AUB will register on ARRL FD website.
    • KE2FKZ will bring pop up camper, KA2AUB will have skoolieo​ Logging with N3FJP
    • KA2AUB has an extra router. Need volunteers with N3FJP on laptops

  • Ham-Con Report - W2FCP, N2ULT, KA2AUB gave reports

  • WX2CIB mentioned the older equipment from a silent key. He will set up a time for others to look at equipment.

New Business

  • Ham operators lunch @ SLU - 11 am, 14 March 2026
    • $10/person
    • The closest parking lot that we can use is lot E. Lot F is also available. If you have an ADA tag you can park in any available ADA spot in any parking lot. If you have an ADA tag I would recommend parking in the bookstore lot. The main thing is do not park in any faculty/staff marked spots.
  • ARRL Bandpass Filter Project - Motion was made by KE2EMQ to have KA2AUB purchase the parts and reimburse him. Second by WB2BAU. The vote passed.
  • Fine Repeater Status - The club will extend an olive branch to OVARC.

Closing

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by KE2EMQ and seconded by W2FCP. Motion passed. The meeting adjourned at 19:45L.
