The 14 May 2026 meeting of the North Country Amateur Radio Club meeting was called to order by WX2CIB at 18:30L. The meeting was held at the Potsdam Community Room. There were 12 physically in attendance and 1 on Discord.

Minutes from the previous April meeting were read. Motion to accept as read/amended was made by KE2GKE. Seconded by KE2FKZ. Approved

Treasurers Report: According to NR2V, the current balance is $531 • 1 new member $5 • Reimbursed KA2AUB $130 for bandpass filter parts

Old Business

  • Club banner/Shirts – Update on producing, KA2AUB reported the banner will be about $45 for a 2’x3’ with logo and name. Shirts will be $15 and will include a logo on the back. Patches will be researched.

  • Field Day – June 27 & 28

    • Matt, KA2AUB – Chairman
    • Co-Chair - Larry, KE2FKZ
    • PIO - WB2BAU
    • Location – SUNY Canton
    • NR2V & KD2QQF will work on posters.
    • Bob will be setting up Winlink and testing at SUNY Canton on 23 May

  • VE Session - 27 April 2026 – Report, no new techs or upgrades

  • ARRL Bandpass Filter Project - Motion was made by KE2EMQ to have purchase the parts and reimburse him. Second by WB2BAU.

New Business

  • ARRL Bandpass Filter Project – Working Session Tonight
  • June Meeting – Logging laptop connectivity, meeting in Potsdam Community Room
  • Field Day Site Survey – May 22 – KE2FKZ, KD2QLH, NR2V will meet with RJ

Upcoming Events

  • Thousand Islands Repeater Club’s – 16 May 8AM to Noon, Hamfest/Swapmeet
  • CQ WPX Contest – 30-31 May – WB2BAU will operate as W2LCA
  • VE Session - 13 June 2026 @ 9:00L, Town of Potsdam Meeting Room, across from the Potsdam IGA
  • ARRL Kids Day - 20 June 2026
  • ARRL Field Day - 27&28 June 2026

Closing

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by KE2EMQ and seconded by NR2V. Motion passed. The meeting adjourned at 18:54L
